This morning, after dropping my daughter off to her school, found so many snail shells. I got intrigued about who there are, why were they found here and finally to know if they can be a pet! My daughter adores insects. Curiosity got the better of me, did some research and here is what Ive found about them.
Facts:
- There are about 200,000 Species of them.
- They are both male and female
- They are the slowest creature throughout the earth.
- They don’t go in straight lines, they go in circles.
- They do have teeth- called radula, they are very rough.
- Some snails eat each other
- Snails are not related to slugs
- Their life span is from 5 years to 25 years.
- During drought, they voluntarily put themselves into hibernation to conserve energy.
- They are very shy creatures, once agitated, they might not come out of their shell for a long time.
- Nocturnal animals.
- They are consumed as delicacies.
- They feed off their fat during hibernation.
Moral from Bug Fact :
- Dont be deceived by the looks of a snail, they do have teeth.
- Fat is good, if known how to be recycled.
- Who said going in circles is not a way of life ?!
- Dont fret that you are slow, be so that you are one of a kind throughout the earth.
- Emotions exists even in a snail.
